Explore the Salt River on a Kayak
4 miles down the Crystal River in the heart of the Crystal River Preserve State Park is the iconic local fish house – Shrimp Landing. Your kayak adventure starts here in unspoiled and untouched waters where nature is abundant and you never know what you might spot while paddling down the river. From the many different sea birds that make this area their home to the many creatures who live in the water such as manatees and dolphins, there’s always something interesting to see.
You can rent a kayak by the hour or for the day. We provide the life jackets and paddles. You bring your sense of adventure. For those anglers out there, all of our kayaks have flush mount rod holders. Our bait shop has live bait along with tackle, ice, food and refreshments. If you didn’t travel with a fishing rod, we got you covered. For $15 you can rent a rod and reel and enjoy some of the best fishing in our area. Life is good when you spend it relaxing on the Salt River!
